Guangzhou Julong Bay Exhibition Center

Guangzhou Julong Bay

Guangzhou Julong Bay is a city planning exhibition center created from four brick warehouses built in the 1950s on the west bank of the Pearl River. The original structures and materials were retained as far as possible, and customized imitation clay bricks were used in the new parts. A large span steel frame with a sloping glass curtain wall covers the parallel halls and joins them into one flexible interior. The triangular roof follows the angle of the old sloping ceilings. The steel frame extends to the ground on both sides, forming a corridor open to the riverside landscape.

Eternal Residential House

Eternal

Eternal is a residential house built on a sloping site in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. A large opening on the south side brings in daylight and distant views while limiting sight lines from the street. The structure combines reinforced concrete below ground with large-section laminated timber and metal joints above.

Yokohama Aoba Housing

Yokohama Aoba

Yokohama Aoba is a house designed to bring nature back into urban living. Two stairways begin at the entrance, and the rooms fan out around the courtyard, while a narrow passage links the wings at the rear. The circulation forms a continuous double loop, so each room has its own route and residents can move without crossing paths. Natural light and air flow through the house, reducing energy use.
