Where Does Cool Design News Source Featured Products and Projects?
We feature architecture designs, products and projects. Most of the architecture designs, products and projects featured on Cool Design News are selected from among the winners of the A' Design Award & Competition, with a special focus on winners in Architecture, Building and Structure Design. We choose most projects from the A' Design Award Winners Registry.
We particularly feature winners of the A' Design Award because the A' Design Award is a highly respected meritocratic competition in which winning designs are judged on pre-established, public evaluation criteria through an anonymous, academic, blind peer-review process. Moreover, nominated works are evaluated anonymously, and jurors are bound by their juror agreement, which makes the accolade fairer, more impartial and more trustworthy. Furthermore, the preliminary jury phase helps entrants present their work more effectively, and submissions are standardized so that entries are compared on merit rather than on presentation before the main judging. Following jury voting, votes are checked for anomalies, scores are standardized and normalized, and results are ranked meritocratically. Because the A' Design Award is highly meritocratic, ethical and fair, Cool Design News relies on the winners of the A' Design Award to feature good design with confidence.
