From the start to the completion, the architects tried to respond to two questions: firstly, how to deal with the relationship between architecture and site; secondly, how to maximize the public coastal space. The design highlights the architecture to provide spaces for people’s public activities. The key point of the project design was how to endow the building with a public attribute.
Continue readingTo create a quality living experience and redefine the image of a residential building in Jeddah, while maintaining the climate requirements and cultural aspects including privacy and gender segregation, were the main design challenges. The designer conceptual idea was to explore the architecture relation between indoor and outdoor spaces, through a composition of three main masses that were shifted to create external courts inspired from Arabic traditional houses.

Furthermore, the design concept is based on the priority of the natural landscape over the constructed project. The design was developed by lower interfering in nature. Therefore, the building is moved away from the earth, which causes the most connection with its landscape consequently. Liner and loop-shaped structures of bridges are grown on different axes, allowing them to have different landscape views.
Continue readingThe office buildings are usually established in city centers or at important communication junctions. However, the goal was to design Press Glass headquarters on a green plateau. Triangular plan and soft lines adds dynamics and ease to the entire structure. The design has a clear principle to locate offices along the external facade, while the relax and open space zones would be placed around the inner courtyard. Thanks to this, project takes full advantage of the natural surroundings and light.
Continue readingThis project is the headquarters for Kohan Ceram Brick Manufacturing Company, including showroom, sales office, and a guest unit. Situated alongside a highway in Tehran, this project marks the boundary between the residential neighborhood and the freeway in the urban fabric. The main criterion was to remain neutral in the urban scale while creating a tangible entity in the local scale. The brick were used as the main representative of the company. The brick module not only forms the façade, but also forms the entirety of the project both on the interior and the exterior.
