The appearance of special-shaped landscape architecture softens the relationship between people in the architectural space, becomes a place for sightseeing and activates the vitality.
Continue readingWith the aim of leaving the existing structure as much intact as possible, this café in Teheran was placed in the former pool of the building. Its name, Didar, which is the Persian word for visit, implies the desire to offer visitors a close encounter with nature. That is why the entire café is enclosed with glass; to connect inside and outside and make the surrounding environment part of the overall design. In order to increase the impression of being outdoors, the height of the elegant, modern furniture is level with the edge of the pool.
Continue readingInhabited Roccolo is a contemporary reinterpretation of a "roccolo", a typical bird catcher hut of the Lombard Alps landscape that combines tradition with a contemporary look to the future. It was designed to escape the stress of the urban world, where aesthetic ideals are sublimated in the modesty of simple forms and natural materials, while leaving complexity to nature around it, a vertical place that connects the earth and the cosmos through the soul. The morphological discontinuity of the fronts, made up of heterogeneous volumes and different materials, characterise the project.

The double-tiered garden on the top floor is not only for heat insulation, but redefine the relationship between the workers and visitors. The goal from the skincare factory is everyone in this room would feel that they are part of the art center and they are the ones who create the art products, not just products on the production line.
Continue readingThe project was an attempt to create something powerful without being loud. A sensitive place that gives tranquility and offers various perspectives to the surrounding nature. It is all about light and the countless approaches to its counterpart: the shadow. The house was build for a young widow as a retreat for her soul. The atmosphere is influenced by the Japanese culture of semi dark shadowed rooms where the colors seem damped and the glow comes from within. A world where darkness is full of warmth and profound colorfulness.
Continue readingZadun is the fourth Ritz-Carlton Reserve in the world. The design intent relies on the creation of very horizontal, noninvasive buildings with a well-orchestrated composition of simple massing, balance, symmetry and subtle elegance. A series of horizontal planes that emerge from the land were proposed, as well as the use of large black overhangs that accentuate the light/shadow balance, taking advantage of the unique quality of the light of the Baja desert. The ambience of subtle elegance is based on the integration of local materials both in buildings and on the outdoor environment.
