The second facade covers the upper part of the factory, giving the heavy concrete structure a certain lightness. While uncovered structural elements and exposed infrastructure in the lofty spaces remind its occupants of the industrial environment, the mid-century modern furniture and playful graphic artworks create an almost lofty atmosphere. The perforated facade is refracting the light at different angles according to the position of the sun, blocking out the heat while adding dynamics to the space and offering the occupants privacy from the outside.

House of Tubes

The project is the fusion of two buildings, an abandoned one from the 70's with the building from the current era and the element that was designed to unite them is the pool. It is a project that has two main uses, the 1st as a residence for a family of 5 members, the 2nd as an art museum, with wide areas and high walls to receive more than 300 people. The open space plan embodied the idea of effective combination of comfort, coziness, functionality and flow of circulation. The finish levels inside and in the pool area are the same. So that once the windows are open, it creates the feeling that you are outdoors while sitting in the living room.

The OmniDirectional

The OmniDirectional is an internal medicine clinic located in a Japanese suburban town of Hyogo prefecture. The core of the clinic is the endoscopy room, naturally placing it in a central position both spatially and functionally. The entrance gives directly to the central axis of the waiting room, ending in the reception counter followed by a glass opening that showcases the endoscopy room. The materiality of the clinic also plays an essential role for highlighting the endoscopy room as the core of the building by contrasting the materiality of the exterior, interior, and the endoscopy room.

Interpolation

Lacking amenities for a cultural experience, Seoul City called for a design competition of an art museum within the Seokchon Lake Park located south of Han River. The proposal is a winning scheme under development; construction is expected to be completed by early 2022. The design aims to provide a visual mark as an entry into the park. The newly introduced interpolating gallery passage connects the discontinuous outer and inner ring path, bisecting the site for a new "gateway" to the park. The new gallery will provide visitors and passersby the experience of art in their everyday lives.
